Vacation Bible School

The last couple of months have brought on so many changes the way we do worship. The same will be true for VBS this year as we move to a Facebook live format. It’s actually really exciting how this will all work out. The best part is all Kids Preschool – 12th grade and adults can be

a part of it.

The theme this year is
“Rocky Railway, Jesus’ Power Pulls Us Through."

Our theme verse is from Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things, through Christ who strengthens me”. Every aspect of what we teach, sing, watch, or do will focus on this theme.

Day 1              Jesus’ power helps us do hard things.
Day 2              Jesus’ power gives us hope.
Day 3              Jesus’ power helps us be bold.
Day 4              Jesus’ power helps us to live forever.

How does it work? As you may imagine there will be a lot of behind the scenes prep work, that’s where the 6th – 12th grade and adults come in. We need you to prerecord different aspects of VBS on your phone or computer and send them to the Youth Coordinator Geri Kearny. Recordings such as, introducing a song, Bible point or Bible Buddy. Teaching daily or theme verse, Bible Adventures, organizing Spot Light VBS. It may sound like a lot, BUT many hands make light work. Once everything is recorded, I will put it together as a video to put on Facebook Live. The great thing is when the 6th – 12th and adults get on to watch it you can add comments to keep the energy high. EXCITING RIGHT!

Preschool – 5th grade can then in their homes experience VBS in a totally new way. Parents and older siblings, we need you to help the students get online and help with the energy level of your kids at home, just like we do onsite VBS. Ok, it's a little different but still a great opportunity to help hear and spread God’s love.
